Webinar – Adapting for Success in Rapidly Changing Times

The AIMS2 program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) supported by the U.S. Department of Education, HSI-STEM Division, is now completing a decade of success. Recognized as the 2019 Example of Excelencia in the baccalaureate program category, this collaborative multi-institutional program led by faculty and staff from CSUN and partner community colleges uses a cohort-based model and high impact practices such as peer-mentoring and student participation in research to improve retention, graduation, and student success.

Challenges from the global pandemic meant that the program had to transition very quickly to virtual modalities. In this webinar, you will hear perspectives from a panel that includes program faculty and staff from CSUN and the College of the Canyons, and a peer mentor who is also a student in the cohort. Everything from teaching and learning online, to student support and tutoring, virtual open houses with tour of labs, and a vibrant 100% online “virtual” research program.
