Summer 2020 Research Opportunity

POETS REU Program

The Center for Power Optimization of Electro-Thermal Systems (POETS) offers a 10-week summer research program that provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to explore careers in research.

The POETS REU program offers a wide variety of unique features to maximize students’ summer experience: Hands-on research with faculty/peer mentoring; Weekly research talks and seminars; $5000 stipend; Airfare and ground transportation costs will be covered to and from your internship; and more detailed in the flyer below.

Summer 2020 Internship Opportunity,

FIELDS Summer Internship at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

The University of California, Riverside and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) have developed the FIELDS program to train the next generation of scientists and engineers in large-scale data analysis and visualization. This opportunity is available for undergraduates with majors in STEM fields from all UC campuses, California State Universities, community colleges, and regional universities. Underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. This internship has a financial package totaling $8,300.

Summer 2019 Internship Opportunity,

Center for Power Optimization of Electro-Thermal Systems (POETS)

This 10-week internship exposes undergraduate students to academic research in the fields of mechanical, electrical  and material engineering. Students are paid a $5000 stipend, receive free housing and airfare, and gain access to weekly professional development webinars as well as other benefits (see brochure).
