December

  • Prof. Li visited the Institute of Green Design and Manufacturing Engineering at Hefei University of Technology in China, and discussed the collaboration of research projects with Vice President Prof. Zhifeng Liu, Prof. Shouxu Song, Prof. Haihong Huang, and Prof. Lei Zhang on December 19-21, 2014.
  • Prof. Li set up a Leadership Circle Pilot as a Faculty Sponsor for Spring 2015, and two of his senior design students, Daniel M. Aguiar and Diego Emesto Vilchez, were accepted as candidates for Epicenter's University Innovation Fellows Program on December 9, 2014. The program is run by the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (Epicenter), which is funded by the NSF and directed by Stanford University and VentureWell. Congratulations to Daniel and Diego!
  • Prof. Li attended the Autodesk University 2014 held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 2-4, 2014.

  • Prof. Li was invited to give a talk “Overview of additive manufacturing and Next Generation of High-Capacity Lithium Ion Batteries” at the China Forum Series sponsored by the CSUN China Institute and the College of Humanities on October 24, 2014.
  • Prof. Li attended the National Science Foundation (NSF) workshop on "Environmental Implications of Additive Manufacturing" held in Arlington, Virginia on October 14-15, 2014. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for disseminating information and sharing ideas about the emerging technology of additive manufacturing (AM) and its impact on the environment and occupational health.

  • Prof. Li was invited to give a talk “Laser additive manufacturing for remanufacturing of critical components” at the Brown Bag Fall 2014 Research Seminar Series sponsored by the CECS on September 24, 2014.
