The Mechanical Engineering Department's Internship Program at California State University Northridge was created in partnership with local industry for the purpose of improving engineering education in our community.
Companies interested in investing in this learning opportunity for students can provide the ME Department with their position description via email or fax. This information will be posted on a secure web site accessible to our students only. Students will contact the companies directly to arrange for an interview and subsequent employment. ME students interns may be sophomores, juniors or seniors.
An immediate part time employee during the academic year and full time during the summer. The possibility of full time employment when the student graduates. Interaction with ME Department faculty and the recommendation of student from faculty.
Educational training and hands on experience in industry. Increased opportunity for future employment. Earn course credit by registering in ME 494 A,B,C .
Immediate feedback on student performance and better preparation of students for the engineering profession. Help meet departmental goals relating to ABET.
