FYI number of *s indicates importance.
Instructor note: Many users may already have accounts. Only
new accounts will get an email notification. Other accounts
that already exist will get no notification. Students will
either know their login or will have to be referred to me.
***** You must use the CSUN VPN client, if you use your ISP
at home or if you use the CSUN wireless network.
**** I strongly suggest that all students order CDs if
possible. This can be only be done for Visual Studio 2003,
Visual Studio 2005, MS Project2003, MS Visio2003, &
Windows XP Pro (not with SP2).
** All MSDNAA accounts will be created with CSUN email
addresses.
** The VPN client can be downloaded at
www.csun.edu/itr/downloads.
Just enter your same logon as used for class registration
(CSUN Portal).
** You must configure the VPN client. See
https://www.csun.edu/itr/guides/index.html
* Your account, password, and web address will be emailed
to your CSUN email account!!!!
* The MSDNAA website is http://msdn07.e-academy.com/csun_cs
* Account will be generated automatically via submission
from your instructor.
* Change your passwordÖ especially if it is similar to
temp111
* If you download software it could be delivered as an ISO,
or an executable.
* For an ISO file use CD burner software to make an install
CD.
* A free CD Burner program is found at -
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.php
You must have a CDR, CDRW, or DVDRW drive.
Step 1 - install
Step 2 - create a New Data CD (the top selection)
Step 3 - click on file - select write disk from ISO file
Step 4 - under Select an ISO image to write: click on box
with...
and point to the location that your iso file is located.
Step 5 - check the finalize disk box
Step 6 - insert new CDR or CDRW
Step 7 - click write
