    BLAST PROTECTIVE STRUCTURAL SYSTEM (BPSS)  is meant to create a new level of building defense. Its application: a terrorist blast mitigation of important and potentially vulnerable office buildings. BPSS will permit an architectural design that may be attractive, functional and consistent with the modern social environment. 
    The objectives of the research are: 
    ·  to estimate globally the concept of shock evading incorporated in BPSS
    ·  to verify when and how effectively the concept can answer its purpose. 
    The research is analytical and will be supported by limited testing.  Its main product will be to help engineers better design and upgrade building structures against terrorist attacks.
