COMP 480/L
PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
1. Your team must prepare a final presentation of your
project including a demonstration of the main features of your system.
2. Each member of your team must participate by giving
part of the presentation. The part covered
by a team member should highlight the contributions to the project made by that
member.
3. The presentation should emphasize the software
engineering process and not merely discuss the product produced. You should describe any problems encountered
during the project and how you solved them.
Be sure to mention important things learned with respect to software
engineering as a result of doing this project.
4. Visual aids should be used where appropriate to
illustrate the presented material. You
may create a PowerPoint presentation, use overhead transparencies, or show any
other useful form of visual aids.
5. The demonstration should be well planned in
advance. Show only the most important
features of your system. Be sure to run
through the demonstration to make sure every thing
works as it should.
6. The entire presentation should take no more than
twenty minutes including the demonstration.
The presentation itself should take from ten to fifteen minutes and the
demonstration should last no more than five to ten minutes. Since time is extremely limited, it is
essential that the presentation cover only the most important aspects of your
project. Take the time as a team to
decide what should be covered and who should talk about what.
