  • ARCS (Profs. Nhut Ho, Bingbing Li, Susan Ettinger, and Eugene Tseng) visited the Waste Management Sun Valley Recycling Park, met with Area Director of Recycling Operations Mark Grady and discussed the collaboration on the NSF Future of Work at the Human-Technology Frontier (FW-HTF) project in Sun Valley, California on December 22, 2023.
  • ARCS was invited to visit the Sunshine Canyon Landfill (SCL). Dr. Bingbing Li and two graduate students attended the comprehensive field trip organized by Eugene Tseng, an ARCS Angel, and David Thompson, a Local Enforcement Agency (SCL-LEA) Program Manager at Sunshine Canyon Landfill on December 19, 2023. Afterward, the entire team headed to the ARCS Center to continue the Odor Mitigation Case Study delivered by Eugene and David. During this event, a potential collaboration was discussed between ARCS and LA County Public Works, LA County Public Health, Law Enforcement Agency, and the County Board of Supervisors (LACBOS).

The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for disseminating information and sharing ideas about the emerging technology of additive manufacturing (AM) and its impact on the environment and occupational health.
