CME-C16Project title: "Learning Earthquakes through Participation in Shake Table Experiments". Investigators: K. Iannone, V. Shustov
      This project is to compete for planning grants to develop the further proposal that will improve the engineering content in K-12 education. It will utilize some innovative approaches in collaboration with College of Extended Learning. The proposed new stimulating engineering concepts to illustrate the real world applications of mathematics and science will, hopefully, inspire new hands-on science, education and exploration techniques by engaging classroom teachers and students in real-time research activity. 
        The project may, also, enhance the pre-college students' interest and motivation that could encourage increased numbers of those students to enroll in engineering degree college programs.
