1. Student Learning Outcome: An ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society( SLO 15)

2. Evidence to be used in the Assessment:

a. Results of a student survey in Comp 182

b. Results of a student survey in Comp 450

2. Assessment Dates 2010 - 2013

3. Assessment Activities to be Performed, When and by Whom:

a. Fall 2011. Establish a three-member subcommittee for the purpose of conducting the assessment.

b. Fall 2011: The subcommittee reviews the results of the survey conducted in 2008.

c. Fall 2011: The subcommittee decides on a modification, if needed, of the questions in the survey.

d. Fall 2011: The subcommittee produces a report of the assessment, based on the 2008 survey.

e. Spring 2011: A second survey is conducted late in the semester for Comp 450.

f. Spring 2011: A second survey is conducted in Comp 182.

g. Fall 2011: The subcommittee analyses the results of the last two surveys.

h. Spring 2012: Prepare an assessment summary report, including recommendations for program improvement.
