national design competition in Washington DC from October 28-31, 2009. The team won first place in the competition
and a $ 3,000 prize for their entry on "Floating Cabinet Design". The theme for the 2009 AHETEMS Design Competition
was Adaptive/Assistive Technologies. Adaptive or assistive technologies are devices, equipment, or systems that
enhance, increase, or maintain the physical and/or mental capabilities of persons with disabilities. For additional
