EXAM
TAKING STRATEGIES
The
art of taking an exam is structured in a way so that the student will build
confidence while displaying their depth of understanding of the material that
comprises the test.
1)
Read through the entire exam.
2)
Identify the most familiar or easiest problems to solve.
3)
Identify and list the least familiar or hardest problems to solve.
4)
Solve the most familiar or easiest problems first.
5)
Solve the least familiar or hardest problems last.
6)
Review each problem. Check each
problem for accuracy, units, and sensibility.
The student is encouraged to practice this technique
on past exams similar to those that will be taken.
